Authentic Italian Food, Love Stories, etc...
If you love authentic but affordable Italian cuisine, go to Bellini's.
K and I invited Ate Rocelle (k's cousin) to join us for dinner. K was craving for Italian food and Ate shared with us her discovery. Bellini's is not well advertised (they don't even have a web page), but surprisingly, a lot of people would go out of their way to visit the place. I have always been a pasta and pizza fan eversince, that is why I was so pleased with the menu. They even make their own pasta noodles (my favorite is their angel hair) and wine (try their sweet wine, it's good with your pasta of choice).
Although majority of the crowd eating there last night were families, it can also be a great date place. The ambiance can be romantic. The place makes me feel like I'm not in the Philippines. Maybe it's because the owner, Roberto, is Italian and it felt like I was visiting his house. The walls are covered with pictures of Italy and some Italian magazines were posted (I think it's because Roberto was a paparazzi before he migrated here)...the music--of course, Italian. Roberto would even visit everybody's table to make sure that we were served well, and that we were enjoying his food. He made us feel like we were his guests. It made me want to come back. It made me feel welcome.
Before writing this entry, I surfed the web to see more reviews about the place. I bumped into this entry at inq7.net and it talked about how the restaurant started..of course, it started with a great romance...click here to read more about it.
Bellini's is located at the Marikina Shoe Expo Cubao, Quezon City and is open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Call +63 2 9132550 for reservations.
